Dates & Eligibility:

The Hackathon will run from 9:00 am to 10:00pm on Saturday, February 11th, and is open to current Columbia University students.

Project and Submission Requirements:

Submissions come in two parts:

  1. Your codebase, which includes all code used to process your chosen dataset and generate any graphics
  2. A PowerPoint presentation on your findings, which the winning teams will have a chance to present during the closing ceremony

Note that you will be primarily judged on the presentation; while your codebase is to be submitted, it will not be run separately.

Prizes:

Prizes worth $500 are available for the winning team in each track, as well as an additional prize worth $500 for the popular choice submission, and a $600 value grand prize.

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection:

Projects will be judged by a panel of Columbia professors and industry professionals on their novelty, technical depth, and presentation effectiveness. Judging will be based on the bellow rubric:
